Ok! Styx got it right about we are all the same in their fantastic song, "The Grand Illusion". I'm going to put a bit of a different spin on it though. In Nora Gedguadas's book "Primal Fat Burner" she talks at length about humankind's common DNA and our common basic nutritional requirements, which developed pre-agricultural revolution, thus sans grains and sugar (which are synonymous). Then looks at the developing diseases that occurred after the introduction of grains and sugar. The following is a quote from Dr, Loren Cordain from his book, "The Paleo Diet". "DNA evidence shows that genetically, humans have hardly changed at all. To be specific, the human genotype has changed less than 0.02% in 40,000 years. This means that the genetic makeup of Paleolithic people is virtually identical to our own. literally, we are Stone Agers living in the Space Age; our dietary needs are the same as theirs. Our genes are well adapted to a world in which all the food eaten daily had to be hunted. fished, or gathered from the natural environment - a world that no longer exists. Nature determined what our bodies needed thousands of years before civilization developed, before people started farming and raising domesticated livestock." Ok so no one is suggesting going back to a time long long ago in a galaxy close close at hand, but we can respect and work with the amazing genetic structure of our common ancestry and reclaim our health simply by eating our way to optimal health! in health Rich couchpotatoprimalfit changing the world one person at a time

Here is an interesting article by Dr. Mary Newport. "What if there was a cure for Alzheimer's Disease and no one knew?" Published July 22, 2008. Look it up on line, very detailed. She was and is a medical doctor who struggled with her husband's dementia for years without any success and she had access to the top medical advances and medicines. Finally, she started doing her own research and discovered a very effective formula that worked for her husband and she believes that this will definitely be of great benefit for many of us. It's worth a look through, if nothing else, just look at the drawings of a clock her husband did before her "treatment" and then shortly after. Let's do what we can to take back our health, our medical doctors often feel that their hands are tied by old outdated misinformation. If their costly medicines worked we wouldn't have Alzheimer's! in health, Rich Couchpotatoprimalfit changing the world one person at a time 402-525-5828 couchpotatoprimalfit@gmail.com Yes! The benefits of getting primal are not to be underrated or understated.
The simplicity of going against the grain is beautiful. Optimal health is just one meal away then the next and the next and so on. Simply by eliminating grains and eating grass-fed beef, fatty fish, avocados, farm fresh eggs, and lots of green veggies, and multi-colored veggies we can overcome the all too prevalent maladies that plague our society. Primal enthusiasts are making audaciously bold statements like this everyday and it's just like, come on folks try it, it is awesomely delicious and powerful, much more powerful than the deadly drugs we are prescribed to cover our sickness, not to heal, because it's widely believed that there are no cures for our diet induced sicknesses. I'm often accused of oversimplification, well just try it and see. Of course this won't heal everything, come on, most of us have had a few decades to screw ourselves up, but it will stop the progression of many metabolic diseases, then we can go from there on our health journey. It is important to make a start. I often repeat myself, oh well, it's that important, I really don't like watching people fall "helplessly" into greater states of disease when the vast majority of sickness can be stopped in place by going primal. So I don't mind being repetitive, it's for a greater purpose, unlike the repetitive commercials and health experts that continue to expound the fat phobia and grain fed lies that are monetarily inspired. So please don't give up on yourself, you can do it, you must do it. Again, I must remind you that it isn't your fault, you have been sold down the river, told that you simply have to eat less and work out more. BS! As Hippocrates said, "Let your food be your medicine, and let your medicine be your food". When I started my health journey I was a 215 pound "weakling". I have kept at around 170 pounds for these last 4 years primarily by eating great food, then I started enjoying activities that I enjoy, running, rock climbing, body weight work, like planks, squats, yoga, kickboxing, etc.. But it was and always will be food first, real food that is. thanks folks in health Rich couchpotatoprimalfit changing the world one person at a time 402-525-5828 couchpotatoprimalfit@gmail.com Hey, I just wanted to celebrate my 1000 mile journey completed today! Just in time!
i was counting on our 10k run tonight but it got cancelled because of sub zero degree temps. Oh well, I made my goal of 1000 miles run in 2017. Maybe 2000 in 2018? I don't know.. Happy New Year!!!! Rich Dr. Timothy Noakes in 1985 wrote and published the book "The Lore of Running".
This tome has been considered the "bible" of running, containing around 1000 pages. In it he expounds on the wonders of human anatomy and physiology. Dr. Noakes is a great writer and goes into the pyschology of running and any physical endeavor. He was also considered the "master" of utilizing carbohydrates to get the most effective access for the energy needed for ultimate endurance performance. Now fast forward to present day.... Dr. Noakes was diagnosed about 12 years or so ago of prediabetes..... How can this be???? The picture of health and leader of worldwide fitness. huh He describes what happened. Basically, because of his high carb intake through the years he became insulin resistant. What this means is that your cells become tired of all the insulin in the bloodstream and then can't be receptive to this hormone so your pancreas has to produce more insulin to "force" the cells to accept it. Also, we only can use so much glucose in the blood stream so our bodies have to get rid of it and it (the glucose) often gets stored as fat, and with high levels of insulin we can't access our fat storages to use as fuel as we should. Enough of that for now. Anyway, Dr. Noakes is now a powerful advocate of the paleo/ketogenic diet. He has turned South Africa upside down with his "Real Food Revolution". A type of implementing the ketogenic diet. One more quick note. We have introduced many "rapid" changes in our diets recently and our dna has not had the time to adapt to this change in "diet". So our bodies aren't inclined to thrive on these low nutrient "foods" such as sugar, grains, and highly processed product. Time-line wise, we have evolved and eaten a certain way for many thousands of years and only recently have introduced new foods. Picture a football field, from the goal line to about the 99.5 yard line we have eaten a "hunter-gatherer" diet. (which changes with the location but was weirdly missing sugars and grains) Now at about the 99.5 yard line we introduced the agricultural revolution. Now we started eating processed food at about the 2 inch yard line. Kinda new huh? We have not been able to keep up with the changes and these changes are causing world-wide health epidemics. So, now that the keto diet is gaining recognition why not give it a try? I can assist you in your health and fitness journey! To your health Rich www.couchpotatoprimalfit.weebly.com changing the world one person at a time 402-525-5828 couchpotatoprimalfit@gmail.com Well, actually, as of today the 29th of December, I only have 994 miles, but on new years eve I am running a 10k (6.2 mi) so essentially I have 1000 miles this year.
But I am helping out at a Snap Fitness Gym and am running on the treadmill (listening to Foo Fighters and Breaking Benjamin) so I plan on getting "my thousand" before then. By the way, it's supposed to be minus 18 degress on new years morning, yay. So I am running a 10k on the 31st and a 10k on the 1st, what fun! Bit cold though. As a caveat, I need to note that the only reason I am able to run is by incorporatng a paleo/keto type diet and lifestyle. Again, this way of eating destroys or at least slows down the major metabolic diseases; arthritis, diabetes, alzheimers, many nuerological problems. It is a lot less expensive in the long run than conventional medicine and much more enjoyable. to your health Rich couchpotatoprimalfit@gmail.com 402-525-5828 www.couchpotatoprimalfit.weebly.com changing the world one person at a time |
