Well, actually, as of today the 29th of December, I only have 994 miles, but on new years eve I am running a 10k (6.2 mi) so essentially I have 1000 miles this year.
But I am helping out at a Snap Fitness Gym and am running on the treadmill (listening to Foo Fighters and Breaking Benjamin) so I plan on getting "my thousand" before then.
By the way, it's supposed to be minus 18 degress on new years morning, yay. So I am running a 10k on the 31st and a 10k on the 1st, what fun! Bit cold though.
As a caveat, I need to note that the only reason I am able to run is by incorporatng a paleo/keto type diet and lifestyle. Again, this way of eating destroys or at least slows down the major metabolic diseases; arthritis, diabetes, alzheimers, many nuerological problems. It is a lot less expensive in the long run than conventional medicine and much more enjoyable.
