First of all LIFE is good!
We humans have been evolving for around 2.5 million years, give or take a day or two. One of my favorite ideas was put forth at http://realmealrevolution.com/the-facts. Dr. Timothy Noakes postulated the idea of human existence being compared to a 24 hour period, where for 23 hours and 55 minutes we ate without grains, the agricultural revolution (civilization) occurring about 10,000 years ago, 5 minutes on the clock, and for the last 5 seconds we have been consuming highly processed foods. Today we are in the midst of a major health crisis, cancer, ahlzhiemers, diabetes, just to name a few. As far as we can tell, these diseases didn't occur in our earlier existence, at least not as ubiquitous. Sooooo, our first step is to get off the train tracks because a train is coming. Stop eating processed carbs and sugar (which are the same thing)! Of course, no one needs me to tell them, after all, we have Coke, Pepsi, Mansanto/Bayer, Novartis, bristol/meyer etc. etc. to tell us what to do. No they don't really tell us, they just control what information we get, control the production of seeds throughout the world, implement trade policies etc. I'm not a multibillion dollar individual, so I can't compete on that level. But I have reclaimed my health largely by totally ignoring the conventional wisdom and attempting to eat and live holistically, more in line with our ancestors. I short story, I quit grains and ate whole fats and lost 45 pounds and now continue to educate myself and enjoy outstanding health and physical benefits because of it. Not all of us are exactly alike, but we do share many similarities. No matter your age, weight, genetic inheritance, there is a way to reclaim your health and life! Oh, and the government and your doctor (probably) aren't going to be of much use to reclamation efforts. In health, Rich
