What does that word mean to you?
For many people the word healthy conjures up images of bland lettuce and starvation and really boring foods. Does this describe you? Often we think of it as a goody goody type thing, almost a negative moral issue. And by so doing we put it in an undesirable category. But really we just don't believe we could ever truly become healthy, that's for someone else not me. Something else making it easier for us to abstain from our naturally inherited birth-rite of awesome health is the confusing monetarily influenced "advice" from the medical conglomerate. Don't get me wrong, we need our talented doctors and nurses, for acute problems especially. The problem is that the focus seems to be on disease and treatment, not proactive health that prevents or lessens diseases. The old adage, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, is very true. Take the insurance industry for example. They aren't interested in helping with medical payments until it's too late, until you are really ill and then they will "help" not interested in proactive health. It would lessen their profits, and once more they aren't trained in health, only sickness. But unfortunately we really need these disease interventions, because we are constantly being given harmful dietary and lifestyle advice from those we are conditioned to trust. What started me on the health journey after a few years of wistful wanting and hoping to somehow get "in shape" was an inspiring and maybe fictitious article about a son telling his sick father to stop eating wheat and of course the father did and recovered. It was enough for me to try it! At age 60 I eliminated grains and ate fats and grass-fed beef and lots of brocoli (initially) and lost 45 pounds in approximately 3 months. I was and still am amazed! I now eat when I'm hungry, eat till satisfied, eat amazing food and some not so amazing, but having that initial boot out of grains was essential. I have to mention that one of my "whys" was to be able to run, so that was part of my journey and still is. So, find your why, and doggedly pursue your inheritance of optimal health. It starts with your next meal and next meal and so on. in health, Rich couchpotatoprimalfit changing the world one person at a time
